Guided Paddle Day Trips Jackson Hole

Half/Full Day, No Experience

Hands-On Water Adventures for Everyone

What We Offer

Our day trips aren’t about sitting back and watching the scenery drift by. They’re about grabbing a paddle and actively experiencing Jackson Hole’s Snake River, Hoback River, Slide Lake, and the lakes of Yellowstone. Whether you’re navigating Snake River rapids in your own inflatable kayak, gliding across pristine alpine lakes, or stand-up paddling with mountain views, you’re not a passenger. You’re the pilot.

Day Trip Options

Choose Your Adventure

Inflatable Kayak

Command Your Own Boat

Forget crowded rafts and tourist assembly lines. Our inflatable kayak trips, affectionately called “ducky trips,” put you in control of your own tandem kayak as you navigate the Snake River’s exciting Class III rapids. Perfect for adventure-seekers, active families with kids 8+, and anyone who wants to do more than just take a ride.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Fresh Perspective

Stand-up paddleboarding offers a unique way to experience local lakes and scenic river sections with an unobstructed view of surrounding mountains and wildlife. It’s easier to learn than you might think and provides a full-body workout.

Lake Kayaking

Slide & Yellowstone Lakes

Paddle scenic Slide Lake formed scarcely 100 years ago by a cataclysmic landslide blocking the Gros Ventre River. Enjoy Yellowstone or Lewis Lake by a less-traveled path while paddling your own kayak. Uncrowded beaches, unique views, and great opportunities to see wildlife.

Private Scenic Rafting

Floats for All Ages

Drift past surrounding mountains, spot wildlife along the banks, and soak in some of the most iconic views in the American West while your guide handles the rowing. These gentle floats are ideal for families with younger children, photographers, wildlife enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a relaxing way to experience Jackson Hole.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before You Go

Not at all! Our trips are designed for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Before every trip, we provide thorough instruction on paddling techniques, water safety, and what to expect. Our guides are expert teachers who’ll have you feeling confident on the water in no time.

While you don’t need to be an athlete, a basic level of fitness helps you enjoy the experience more. Most day trips involve 2–4 hours of paddling with breaks. The most important requirements are a positive attitude, willingness to follow instructions, and ability to get in and out of a kayak or boat. If you have specific concerns, give us a call at (307) 733-2471 and we’ll help you choose the right trip.

Absolutely! Different trips have different age requirements. Our group inflatable kayak trips welcome children 8 and older, depending on river levels. Scenic float trips can accommodate younger kids. Lake kayaking and SUP trips vary by location and conditions. We can help you choose the perfect adventure for your family’s ages and comfort levels.

We paddle rain or shine! In fact, some of our best trips happen on overcast or rainy days. We have wetsuits and paddle tops, and we’ve invested in the best waterproof/breathable dry suits money can buy for your use. Having the appropriate gear to keep you comfortable in varying conditions makes any day a great day to be on the water. In addition, with over two dozen launch sites we can almost always find a great place to paddle regardless of the weather.

Three key differences: First, on most of our trips you’re actively paddling your own craft rather than being a passenger. Second, we keep group sizes small for personalized instruction and a more intimate experience. Third, we spend more actual time on the water. We’re not rushing to turn boats around for the next group. It’s about quality over quantity and genuine connection to the river or lake.
