Moose (common!), bald eagles, river otters, elk, bison, bears (from safe distance), bighorn sheep, mountain goats, beavers, ospreys, pelicans, and numerous other species. Quiet kayaks create excellent viewing opportunities

Mountain weather changes rapidly. June-September days are typically warm and dry with possible afternoon showers. Nights are quite cool - freezing possible anytime. Jackson sits at 6,200 feet; Jackson Lake exceeds 6,700 feet. We provide appropriate gear and monitor conditions closely

We adjust plans accordingly - changing routes or modifying itineraries if necessary. Safety comes first, but we're well-equipped for typical mountain weather patterns

The 3-day is our most popular option - perfect balance without feeling rushed. You get great time on Jackson Lake, a unique hike, private camping, and Snake River whitewater finale. 2-day trips are weekend introductions; 4-day trips include more hiking options and a coveted layover day at Grassy Island.

You can drive your own vehicle or meet us at Jackson Lake if more convenient. We can make special arrangements for those that cannot make it the evening before.

Group trips have scheduled dates, fixed itineraries, and you join other adventurers (great for solo travelers/couples). Private trips let you choose dates, customize the experience, bring kids any age 5+, and have guides exclusively for your group. You can also adjust your itinerary to maximize your time on Jackson Lake or choose a scenic stretch of the Snake River.
