Frequently Asked Questions

Before You Go

If you’re comfortable on Class II water, have basic eddy turns and ferry skills, and are ready to progress beyond beginner techniques, you’re ready for intermediate coaching. Advanced instruction suits paddlers running Class III confidently with solid rolls who want to tackle Class IV water or significantly refine technique.

Absolutely! Many experienced paddlers develop subtle technique habits that limit progression. Fresh expert eyes identify issues you’ve become blind to, provide corrections that work, and introduce advanced concepts you may not have encountered. Even elite paddlers benefit from quality coaching.

Not necessarily. We provide quality whitewater kayaks, though many intermediate/advanced paddlers prefer using their own boats since they’re dialed to personal outfitting. If you have equipment, bring it. If not, we’ll provide appropriate boats for the instruction.
