Our Story

Founded by Aaron Pruzan

Rendezvous River Sports and Jackson Hole Kayak School are the hub of paddle sports in Wyoming, located in the heart of Jackson at 945 W. Broadway. Led by world-class expeditionary kayaker Aaron Pruzan, our team brings expertise from international first descents, national-level competition, World Cup slalom racing, and touring kayaking from Maine to Mexico and the Pacific Northwest.

Aaron founded Rendezvous River Sports in 1995 and has introduced thousands of people of all ages to paddling. He established the Jackson Hole Kayak Club in 1996 and began working with Teton Adaptive Sports in 2009 to bring adaptive paddling opportunities to the valley. His expeditions have taken him across Wyoming, British Columbia, Chile, Argentina, and Siberia, and he played a key role in securing Wild & Scenic protection for the Snake River Headwaters.

From that foundation, we’ve built a team of ACA-certified instructors and guides who share Aaron’s commitment to expert instruction, environmental stewardship, and making paddle sports accessible to everyone. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned paddler, this is the place where Jackson Hole’s water adventures begin.
