What Makes Our Kayak Rentals Different
Current Models, Premium Brands
We’re not renting out decade-old boats with questionable history. Our fleet features this year’s and last year’s models from respected manufacturers. You’re paddling quality equipment that performs well and inspires confidence. It’s the same gear serious paddlers choose to purchase.
Expert Fitting and Instruction
Kayak performance depends heavily on proper boat fit and setup. We take time to match you with appropriate boats for your size, skill level, and destination. Every rental includes instruction on equipment use, paddling basics if needed, and safety information relevant to your chosen route.
Complete Local Knowledge
Our staff has paddled every lake and river within 100 miles, many of them hundreds of times over decades. We provide honest assessments of routes matching your ability, current condition updates, shuttle logistics details, wildlife viewing insights, and the kind of local knowledge that only comes from actually living and paddling here for years.
Flexible Terms & Support
Rent for a few hours, full day, weekend, or longer with attractive multi-day discounts. Need to adjust your plans? Extend your rental? We’re flexible and supportive. If you encounter issues on the water, we’re just a phone call away with solutions and assistance.

Where to GoFrequently Asked Questions
Before You GoIt depends on your destination, experience, and goals. For Grand Teton lakes: touring or recreational kayaks. For Snake River whitewater: inflatable kayaks or whitewater boats (depending on experience). For families with kids: recreational kayaks or sit-on-tops. For backcountry access: packrafts. Not sure? Call us at (307) 733-2471 and we’ll recommend the perfect boat based on your situation.
For recreational kayaks, touring kayaks, sit-on-tops, and inflatable kayaks on flatwater, no, but basic comfort on water helps. We provide instruction with every rental. For whitewater kayaks or challenging river runs, we do require demonstrated paddling experience and competence. We assess skills honestly to ensure safety and enjoyment.
Every kayak rental includes the boat, quality paddle matched to your size, properly-fitted PFD, spray skirt (for applicable boats), roof rack system, tie-down straps, and expert advice on routes and safety. Wetsuits, drysuits, and helmets are available as separate rentals when needed for cold water or whitewater conditions.
Absolutely. It’s one of our specialties! We provide detailed information on area lakes and rivers including difficulty levels, scenic highlights, wildlife viewing opportunities, current conditions, access points, shuttle logistics for river trips, and timing recommendations. We’ve paddled these waters for decades and love sharing our knowledge.
No problem! We provide roof rack systems with all rentals and show you exactly how to properly secure kayaks to your vehicle. We’ll demonstrate tie-down techniques, check your rigging before you leave, and make sure you’re confident about safe transport. Many first-time renters successfully transport kayaks after our brief instruction.
Yes! Multi-day and weekly rentals receive significant discounts. Weekend packages (Friday pickup, Monday return) are especially popular. Exact rates vary by kayak type. Call us at (307) 733-2471, check our website, or stop by the shop for current pricing. The longer you rent, the better your daily rate becomes.
