We offer a detailed hands-on orientation into the world of rafts, rivers, and rapids, with this self-guided rafting adventure. The trip begins on a beautiful, calm stretch of the Snake River, which is teeming with elk, moose, bald eagles, and osprey. Here our professional boatmen and safety kayakers teach you about river gear, boat equipment, rowing techniques, and river features while everyone gets the opportunity to row the raft and have fun on the water.
After a leisurely lunch stop we get geared up for the whitewater! This is where every participant has the chance to use the skills and information he/she has learned thus far. Instructors will help coach each participant down a section of the beautiful and fun whitewater of the Snake River Canyon. Discounts available for large groups using our equipment or your own!
All gear is included in lesson prices. Our instructional raft is a fully rigged NRS E 160. It is rigged with a center mount NRS fame, cooler, and drybox. We have it outfitted with Cataract SGG oars for smooth comfortable rowing. For comfort, we can provide Kokatat drysuits, Full Ripcurl or ONeill wetsuits or an assortment of splash gear and booties. This will assure that you can stay warm in any weather.
