These courses are focused on the latest technical knowledge, terminology, teaching skills, personal paddling skills, and safety awareness in a flatwater and river environment. This course helps you work on personal and interpersonal development and pushes you to build skills and knowledge through peer feedback, video analysis, and lectures. We combine practical on-water demonstrations and presentations with real-world scenarios that will equip you to deal with teaching this multifaceted sport as a professional. This course sets the industry standard for instruction in paddle sports.
Just because you have paid your class fees and attended the class, does not mean you are guaranteed certification. Each candidate will be evaluated and certified based on competency in technical knowledge, paddling skills, teaching skills, safety awareness, and necessary interpersonal skills.
This 3-day course will be taught in flat water and moving water river environment, and will cover the following ACA curriculum content:
Completion of the appropriate level skills course, assessment course, or equivalent skills.
Participants can take this course as a stand-alone course, or can combine it up with the Level 3: Whitewater SUP offered immediately after. Athletes must pass at the full Level 2 certification in order to take the Level 3 course. Participants who take both courses back to back will get a discount noted below.
This 2-day course will be taught in a class I-II river environment, and will cover the following ACA curriculum content:
Must be an ACA Level 2: Essentials of SUP Instructor in good standing, and successfully completed a Level 3: Whitewater SUP skills assessment or have equivalent skills.
Participants can take this course as a stand-alone course, or can combine it up with the Level 2: Essentials in SUP offered the three days prior. Participants who take both courses back to back will get a discount noted below.
