Rentals

Rendezvous River Sports offers the most extensive selection of kayaks, canoes, SUP's, rafts, and gear for rent in the intermountain west!  We pride ourselves on the high quality of our rental equipment.  We update all of our boats yearly to make sure we have the newest models from the leading paddlesports companies in the world.  For more details on the brands and models that we carry, click on the item you are interested in below.

Our rentals are very popular, so we recommend you call up and make a reservation as soon as you know your plans.  All rentals are based on a daily pick up and drop off.  June through August, rentals can be picked up at 8am and must be returned by 7pm.  New this season we will be scheduling pick up times for our rentals to help promote efficiency to get you out on the water quicker!  Boat rentals include paddle, PFD, racks & straps (helmet, spray skirt & safety gear if required).

Rentals of 3-6 days receive a 10% discount, a week or more receive a 20% discount.

Whitewater Kayaks -

We carry the latest designs of play boats, creek boats, and river runners from Dagger, Wave Sport, Liquid Logic, and Jackson Kayak.  Our whitewater kayak package rentals come with paddles from Werner or AT, spray skirts from Snap Dragon, life jackets from Astral, helmets from NRS, splashtops or semi-drytops from Kokatat, and a wetsuit and booties from NRS.  Demo just the boat for $30 for a creek boat and $20 for a play boat.

Introduction to River Kayak Lessons

If you have never kayaked or have minimal experience in a closed-cockpit boat this is the course for you. This course will give you a solid background of kayaking basics and allow you to have fun on the river.

 

River Running Kayak Lessons

You have learned the basics and you're ready for more. This course requires a general knowledge of paddle strokes, (forward & back paddling, sweeps, braces and draws) the ability to paddle straight on flat water and familiarity with river features.

Women's Specific Lessons

Differences in men’s and women’s learning styles prompted us to design an introductory course for women, taught by women. This course will have you enjoying kayaking in short order. It covers the same material as Introductory Kayaking.

Freestyle Kayak Lessons

If you are feeling comfortable in holes and surfing, you're ready for Freestyle. You will need a reliable whitewater roll and have the ability to confidently front and side surf small waves and holes.

Rolling Lessons

We offer multiple options for practicing the kayak roll no matter what your experience level. We can give you private instruction in our outdoor pool any day June-September, or you can take one of our group lessons during the winter/spring months in the indoor pool.

Salmon River Idaho Multi-day, Multi Sport River Trip

Jackson Hole Kayak School and Salmon River Rafting Company have joined up to create a multisport overnight adventure on the Main Salmon for 2013. It will be a 5 day, 4 night raft supported river trip for any novice through expert Kayaker, SUPer, Rafter, or Inflatable Kayaker.
